In order to foster continuous improvement, it is essential to have an accurate assessment of the current state through a robust mechanism that enable the identification of Opportunities For Improvement (OFIs).

Geometric’s 365 PLM IT MM is a framework that we have specifically designed to asses the maturity of PLM implementations. We realized early on that there is no ready framework for assessment of maturity of existing implementations. Leveraging our experience, we devised a framework that has 5 levels (based on the SEI CMMI model), but measures the maturity across 6 parameters that encompass all factors that are essential for an implementation that delivers to the expectations of the business customers.
Maturity assessment is only the first step in the path to continuous improvement. Based on the results of the assessment and in discussion with our customers, we prepare an improvement charter and a roadmap that would deliver to the targets set along each of the measurement parameters. We work with our customers to deliver the improvement using specific improvement tools and techniques like Six Sigma, Lean, Ishikawa techniques and the 7 QC tools.
A mature implementation ensures that the delivery of support to the business meets the objectives of the business customers and is predictable and consistently improving. We strive to put in processes that enable focused continuous improvement so that scarce resources are most optimally utilized. |
